SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran's men's golf team is tied for fourth place (+8) after the opening 36 holes of their 2026 fall season opening tournament, the John Nellermoe Classic at the recently reopened Max Starcke Park Golf Course in Seguin.
Freshman
Jaden Mata (Hutto/Hutto) leads the Bulldogs through day one, sitting in a tie for 11th place at one-over (145).
Shea Eason (Round Rock/Round Rock) and
Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) are one stroke behind Mata, tied for 15th at two-over par (144).
After sitting in the top ten in the opening round, Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) slid in the second round to finish 20th at three-over par.
Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) and Tucker McDonald (Seguin/Navarro) lead Texas Lutheran's second team in the tournament as they are both tied for 34th at eight-over par.
Southwestern University sits in first place in the team race with a score of 571 (-5), leading the tournament by four strokes.
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at Starcke Park at 8 AM with live stats available on Scoreboard.
