SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team earned a fourth place finish at the 2026 John Nellermoe Classic at Max Starcke Park Golf Course in Seguin on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs closed the event with a 54-hole total of 873, nine-over par. Southwestern University won the event with an 866 tally at the par-72 course while McMurry took home medalist honors.
Jaden Mata (Hutto/Hutto) finished in the top ten in his first collegiate tournament, finishing tied for ninth with a one-over par total 217. Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) and Shea Eason (Round Rock/Round Rock) finished a stroke behind to tie for 12th overall. Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) joined a trio of his teammates in the top 20 with a 72-hole score of 220 (+4).
Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) led Texas Lutheran's second team in the tournament as they are both tied for 33rd at 11-over par.
TLU returns to the course September 27-28 at the Rhodes Fall Invitational. The event, hosted by Rhodes College, will be played at Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Mississippi.
