SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Football's 2026 schedule was announced by head coach Neal LaHue and the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) on Wednesday. In addition to a non-conference game against Southwestern at Bulldog Stadium, Texas Lutheran is scheduled to play five home games next fall, highlighted by the visit from the Pirates and Hendrix.

The Bulldogs' slate consists of just one game against a team that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament as TLU once again renews its rivalry with No. 21 Trinity to kick off the season in San Antonio.

Texas Lutheran's 2026 non-conference schedule will include its season opener against Trinity on Sept. 5, its home opener against Southwestern on Sept. 12, and a trip to Marshall, Texas for the first time since 2021 as they face former American Southwest Conference foe, East Texas Baptist.

The 2026 SCAC slate will be reminiscent of the 2024 season as the Bulldogs will play Austin College and Lyon College in a double round robin format. The stakes will be higher in 2026 as the SCAC will have the automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011 with the addition of Gallaudet University as an affiliate member.

The home SCAC slate at Bulldog Stadium consists of four games: vs. Austin College (Sept. 19), Lyon College (Oct. 3), Hendrix (Oct. 17), and Centenary (Nov. 7). The visit from Lyon College will serve as homecoming while the Nov. 7 matchup against Centenary will serve as Senior Day.

Texas Lutheran's two SCAC road games will take it to Lyon College (Oct. 24) and Austin College (Oct. 31) in back-to-back weekends.

There will be one off week in 2026: Oct. 10, in between home games against Lyon College and Hendrix.

The six conference teams will be vying to compete in the 2026 SCAC Championship game Nov. 14 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock with the winner claiming the league's automatic entry into the NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs appeared in the inaugural SCAC Championship game against McMurry last season.
