SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis picked up their fifth win in their last six matches after defeating Austin College, 5-2, Saturday afternoon at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.
Despite a comeback victory from the team of Farah Standley (Pleasanton/Pleasanton) and Isabella Hill (Pearland/Pearland) to win their match 7-6, TLU found themselves in an early deficit after dropping the doubles point.
The Bulldogs would rally to win five out of six singles matches to seal the victory. Hill, Standley, Lindsay Beville (New Braunfels/Canyon), and Lucero Alvarado (San Antonio/Southwest) all won in straight sets to seal the match. Isabella Barber rallied to win her match in three sets, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
Texas Lutheran will travel to Longview, Texas, to face LeTourneau on Friday, March 27 as the Bulldogs enter the heart of conference play. First serve is scheduled for 3 PM.
