SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis improved to 4-3 overall and 1-2 in SCAC play Friday afternoon after defeating University of Dallas, 6-1, at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.
The only point the Bulldogs would drop on Saturday would be a loss in No. 1 singles.
Texas Lutheran entered doubles play with an advantage after winning one match by default and clinched the point behind a 6-3 victory from Isabella Hill (Pearland/Pearland) and Farah Standley (Pleasanton/Pleasanton).
TLU won four of the six singles matches in straight sets with Standley needing a decisive third set to win in No. 2 singles 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.
Texas Lutheran will conclude their three-match homestand on Saturday, March 21 as they welcome Austin College to the ORTC to continue SCAC play. First serve is set for 11 AM.
