SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball swept Concordia (TX) 26-24, 25-17, 25-10, on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs (12-4, 6-0) remain unbeaten in SCAC and improved to 45-16 all-time on Jim Shuler Court. The 6-0 start is the best start to conference play since 2011.

Zaria Solis (Burnet/Burnet) led Texas Lutheran with 11 kills, while hitting .435 in the match. Solis also added four blocks.

Nadia Dunn (Houston/Pearland) had eight kills and three digs.

Solis and Andie Lozano-Lomeli (Brownsville/Pace) each had a team-high four blocks with Lozano-Lomeli adding eight kills.

Ella Waterbury (Buda/Johnson) finished with 14 assists, five digs, two aces and while Addison Gallegos (Floresville/Jourdanton) added ten digs and two aces.

Ava Search (Richmond/Needville) led the Buldlogs with 17 digs, four kills, and added four service aces.

The Bulldogs started slow as the after effects of last night's five-set thriller showed early. After a 5-0 start, TLU found themselves trailing 16-1. From there, the Bulldogs rallied to tie the set at 23 before closing out the set, 26-24.

Texas Luteran went up 2-0 in the match with a dominant set, 25-17. Solis led the way with three kills. Lozano-Lomeli was outstanding with four blocks in the set while Solis had three kills.

The Bulldogs started the third set with an otherworldly 15-0 to start the third set with Search dominating the service line with four service aces in the set. Lozano-Lomeli was outstanding with four blocks in the set while Solis had five kills. The Tornados never came close in the final set as TLU closed out the match with a 25-10 win.

Texas Lutheran will wrap its non-conference slate next week as they host the TLU Invitational at Memorial Gymnasium starting with Howard Payne on Friday, Oct. 16. First serve is set for 4 PM. The match will be streamed on FloCollege. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
