SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis improved to 3-7 overall and 1-3 in SCAC play Saturday afternoon after defeating University of Dallas, 6-1, at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.

Prior to Saturday's match, TLU recognized their lone senior Mercedes Tirado (Seguin/Navarro)i n pre-match Senior Day festivities - recognizing her accomplishments and thanking her for her contributions to the program. Thank you Mercedes for everything over the course of your career.

The only point the Bulldogs would drop on Saturday would be a singles loss by default.

Texas Lutheran swept the doubles matches for the third time this season. The team of Lindsay Beville (New Braunfels/Canyon) and Kassidee Webb (Castroville/Medina Valley) would pick up their first win as a team on the season, winning their match, 6-1. The team of Lucero Alvarado (San Antonio/Southwest) and Serenity Cabrera (San Antonio/New Braunfels) won their match 6-0.

Texas Lutheran would win all five singles matches that were played on Saturday - with their only loss coming by default. All five would win their matches in straight sets.

Texas Lutheran will conclude the regular season on April 16 as they travel to Kerrville to face the Schreiner Mountaineers for the final match of the regular season. First serve is set for 1 PM.
