SHREVEPORT, LA -- No. 8 Texas Lutheran (14-0, 8-0 SCAC) swept the series over Centenary (6-8, 3-5 SCAC) with a 4-1 win Saturday afternoon at CC Softball Complex in Shreveport.

Amanda White (Lockhart/Lockhart) was a force in the circle, throwing a four-hit complete game, allowing just one run to pick up her sixth win of the season.

Six Bulldogs registered a hit in the game with Serena Gonzalez (Corpus Christi/Foy H. Moody) bringing in a pair, and Kylee Jack (Richwood/Brazoswood) and Tavery Ortiz (Texas City/Texas City) both recording one RBI.

Texas Lutheran jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning as Jack and Ortiz tallied RBI singles in the inning. Serena Gonzalez would hit her third home run of the season, a two-run home run to double the Bulldogs lead in the third inning. With the home run, Gonzalez moves into a tie with Taylor Yancey for third all-time in program history with 14 career home runs.

Centenary would avoid the shutout by scoring their lone run in the sixth inning.

With the sweep, Texas Lutheran won its 68th consecutive conference series victory dating back to joining the conference in 2014.

On the season, TLU is outscoring the opposition 99-15.

The Bulldogs will host No. 24 Rochester for a non-conference doubleheader on Monday, March 10, at Ed Kruse Stadium. First pitch is slated for 5 & 7 PM with the games being broadcast on TLU+. All streaming and live stats links can be found on tlubulldogs.com.
