Back-to-back RBI singles from Adam Peavy (Houston/Memorial) and Brayden Sprencel increased the lead to 3-0. An RBI single from Caleb Small (Round Rock/Gateway College Preparatory) made it 4-0 before two unearned runs scored to cap the inning.
TLU tacked on three more runs in the fifth inning starting with an RBI single from Sprencel. A sacrifice fly from Caleb Small and an RBI double from Chance Greene (Round Rock/Stony Point) brought home the final run of the inning.
Leading 9-0, TLU pushed the game into run-rule territory with four more runs in the top of the seventh. After loading the bases, Cooper Jen (Kyle/Hays) hit a two-RBI single before Mason Goudeau hit a two-RBI triple to cross the final Bulldogs runs of the game.
The Yellow Jackets got an unearned run across in the bottom of the seventh to avoid the shutout. That was the only run the Bulldogs would allow in the game.
