SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball swept its third straight match, taking down University of the Ozarks, 25-14, 25-17, 25-17, in a first-time matchup against the first-year program at Memorial Gymnasium.
Maselina Tuufuli (St. Hedwig/Steele) led the Bulldogs (6-9, 3-3 SCAC) with 10 kills and a block.
Briana Salvatierra-Moore (San Antonio/Antonian College Prep) finished with seven kills, a block, three digs, and two aces to go along with a .545 hitting percentage.
Andie Lozano-Lomeli (Brownsville/Pace) added seven kills and three blocks.
Ryann Ely (Montgomery/Concordia Lutheran) had six kills to go with two blocks and seven digs.
Addison Gallegos (Pleasanton/Jourdanton) dished out 15 assists and finished with four digs while
Naomi Gamboa (San Antonio/Warren) finished with 12 assists, eight digs and an ace.
The first set was close early but the Bulldogs never trailed as they utilized small runs to gradually pull away from the Eagles to win the set 25-14.
After another close start, the Bulldogs jumped all over Ozarks in the second set and were up 21-15 before going on to cruise to a 25-17 win.
Texas Lutheran put the match away emphatically with a dominant third set, hitting .351 and rolling to a 25-17 win.
