ROUND ROCK, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team (10-4-3, 8-1-2 SCAC) battled to a scoreless draw Friday night against Concordia (TX) at Round Rock Multipurpose Complex in Round Rock, the host site of next week's SCAC Championship Tournament.
The Bulldogs secured their eighth clean sheet of the season behind a standout outing from
Ernesto Avila (Houston/Humble). Avila finished with three saves, including two in the final ten minutes of play.
The first half ended with both teams having four shots over the first 45 minutes. After the break,
Raymond Palmer (San Antonio/Clark) led the push forward with three attempts.
Both teams finished with four shots on goal.
With the tie, the Bulldogs finish the season with 26 points in the SCAC standings. The Bulldogs will await the results of Colorado College vs. Dallas to know whether they will be SCAC Regular Season Champions and the SCAC Tournament number one seed or enter the SCAC Tournament as the number two seed. The Bulldogs will enjoy a first round bye regardless of the result and play on Friday, Nov. 7 at 5 or 7:30 PM. The SCAC Tournament will be streamed in its entirety on FloCollege.
