COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- The Texas Lutheran Men's Soccer team (5-4-2, 3-1-1 SCAC) suffered its first conference loss of the season, 2-0, to the #RV Colorado College Tigers (7-0-4, 4-0-1 SCAC) on Friday in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Both teams fired shots at respective opposing goalkeepers early and often. The first shot on goal came just five minutes into the match from Colorado College.
Nico Gonzalez (Houston/Cypress Park) had the first shot on goal for the Bulldogs at the 38:27 mark that was saved by the Tigers.
Diego Sanchez (Humble/Atascocita) had a shot saved in the waning moments of the first half.
Raymond Palmer (San Antonio/Clark),
Evan Bremauntz (Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage), and
Cristiano Perez (El Paso/Antonian College Prep) all had shots saved in the second half.
Colorado College tallied its first goal in the 32nd minute with the Tigers doubling their lead in the 63rd minute.
The Tigers outshot the Bulldogs 17-16, including 705 in shots on goal in the contest.
Texas Lutheran travels to Irving, Texas, on Sunday, Oct. 12 to face University of Dallas at 2 PM. The match will be streamed on FloCollege. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
