IRVING, Texas -- Texas Lutheran dropped Friday night's contest at Dallas, 84-60, at the Maher Center in Irving, Texas.
Senior Xavier Phillips (Austin/Dripping Springs) led the Bulldogs with 19 points and two steals. Teddy Tapken (Austin/Lake Travis) and Jonah Johnson (Cibolo/Steele) joined Phillips in double figures with ten points each.
The two teams would start the first half in a back and forth battle before a 14-2 run gave Dallas a 21-9 lead. The lead would balloon to by as many as 20 points as the Crusaders took a 38-22 lead into the halftime break.
The Crusaders would never relinquish the lead from that point forward leading by as many as 27 points, ending the night with a 84-60 tally.
The Bulldogs wrap their four-game road trip on Saturday as they travel to Sherman to face the Austin College 'Roos. Tip-off is set for 6 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
