CLARKSVILLE, AR -- Texas Lutheran dropped Friday night's contest at University of the Ozarks (AR), 74-58, at Mabee Gymnasium in Clarksville, Arkansas - spoiling the homecoming of TLU assistant coach and Ozarks alum Bryson Johnson.
Semaj Edwards (Lanham, MD/Oak Hill) led the way with 14 points and six rebounds. Mason Wallace (San Antonio/Judson) joined Edwards in double figures with 12 points and four rebounds. Trey Blackmore (San Antonio/Cole) dished out a team-high four assists and finished with nine points. Texas Lutheran would force three ties but would only lead for just over two minutes Friday night, trailing by as many as 25 points.
After leading 36-31 at the halftime break, Ozarks would start the second half on an 11-0 run and outscore the Bulldogs 38-27 in the second half.
The Eagles shot 37.3% from the field on the night and held a 42-28 advantage in points in the paint. The Eagles outrebounded the Bulldogs 56-30.
Texas Lutheran will be back in action Sunday, Jan. 19, as they travel to Shreveport, Louisiana for a matchup with the Gents from Centenary College. Tip-off is set for 2 PM. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
