HOUSTON, TX -- Texas Lutheran dropped Friday's contest at St. Thomas, 92-62, at the Jerabeck Activity and Athletic Center in Houston, Texas.
Houston, Texas, native DJ Ardoin (Houston/Pearland) scored a career-high 16 points to lead the way for the Bulldogs (6-12, 4-6 SCAC) off the bench. Jamir Mason (Pearland/St. Thomas Episcopal) joined Ardoin in double-figures scoring 12 points - his third consecutive game in double figures.
The Bulldogs would hold an early 5-2 lead to begin the first half but after back-to-back St. Thomas threes gave the Celts an 8-5 lead with 17:33 remaining in the half the Bulldogs would never regain their lead. The Celts (14-5, 8-2 SCAC) led Texas Lutheran for a majority of the game leading by 17 at halftime and by as much as 32 points - closing the game with a final score of 92-62.
