SEGUIN, TX -- Texas Lutheran tennis dropped their home opener to Division-II St. Mary's Thursday afternoon, 9-0.

The Bulldogs were swept in women's doubles and two out of three men's doubles. The team of Nico Rios (San Antonio/Brennan) and Simon Carandang (Austin/Akins) was able to steal a point before falling 8-1.

Women's tennis was also swept in singles competition.

Men's tennis would drop all six singles matches with Carandang showing fight in his match pushing his match to a 6-1, 6-2 conclusion. Joshua Huang (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) and Quinn Johnson (Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) would also win points.

Texas Lutheran's home stand continues Friday, Feb. 11, against East Texas Baptist. First serve is currently scheduled for 1 PM.
