MEMPHIS, Tennessee -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball faced some resistance against Westminster (MO) but they collected their fourth win of the weekend 3-1, 25-12, 25-18, 23-25, 25-19, in their final match in the Rhodes College Classic in Memphis, TN.
The Bulldogs improve to 6-1 on the season.
Senior Hayden Smyers (Needville/Needville) was a dominant presence finishing with her first double-double of the season tallying 10 kills and 13 digs. Keriann Kallus (New Braunfels/New Braunfels), Maddy Schultz (Richmond/Needville), and Kacie Hall (Buda/Hays) all hit at a high level in the match. Hall led the Bulldogs in kills with 13. Keriann Kallus led the Bulldogs in hit percentage - hitting .429. Maddy Schultz added 10 kills.
Lexi Morris (Victoria/Victoria West) had 22 digs and 5 assists in the match.
Adrienne Galaviz (San Antonio/Harlandale) finished with 23 assists and added 13 digs and 2 service aces.
Madison Weisinger (Friendswood/Friendswood) was strong from the service line, finishing with 3 service aces.
Texas Lutheran will be back in action Wednesday at Our Lady of the Lake at 7PM.
