SHREVEPORT, La. -- Texas Lutheran Softball pushed its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season win streak to 39 games with 9-3 and 9-4 wins Saturday at Centenary College (La.).
The Bulldogs improved to 25-4 overall and to 16-0 in the SCAC.
Centenary fell to 15-16 overall and to 8-0 in the SCAC.
In the early game,
Rebecca Snow went 4-for-5 with three RBI. Snow had an RBI double in the first inning, an RBI single in the fourth, and an RBI double in the sixth. She also had a lead-off double in the third.
Sydney Ouellette improved to 11-2 with the complete-game victory. She struck out three and allowed two earned runs.
Bloxham hit a three-run home run to right field in the first inning. Padilla hit a solo shot to center in the first, one batter after Bloxham hit her homer. Raines led off the third with a solo home run to right-center.
Raines pitched six innings and moved her season's record to 6-0. She struck out six and walked three. She allowed two earned runs.
TLU returns to Seguin for next weekend's three-game series with the University of St. Thomas (Texas). The Friday night single game starts at 7 p.m. The Saturday doubleheader begins at noon.
