SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs hit five combined home runs Saturday in 7-5 and 13-7 conference victories over the Southwestern Pirates.
The Bulldogs sit atop the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 10-1 league mark. The Bulldogs are 19-8 overall.
Southwestern fell to 14-14 overall and to 9-5 in the SCAC.
Post was 4-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBI in the 13-7 victory. He hit a solo shot in the third inning and a two-run shot in the fifth.
Jimenez belted a three-run bomb in the first inning of the second game.
Motsinger hit a three-run home run in the first game, and
Tyler Cauley collected his eighth homer of the season with a solo shot in the third.
Landon Weatlery improved to 3-1 with the win in the first game. The senior right-hander struck out eight and allowed five earned runs.
Chase Cutler went the final 3-2/3 for the save. He did not allow a run. He struck out five and scattered two hits.
Brendan Beard earned his first win of the season with two innings in game two. Beard struck out three.
TLU and Southwestern wrap-up the three-game SCAC series with a single game at noon Sunday at Katt-Isbel Field.
TLU will honor its 16 baseball seniors with a pre-game ceremony.
