SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs picked up their first win of the 2021 season with a 6-3 non-conference victory over Sul Ross State Friday afternoon at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.
Stephenson and Schulte each posted wins in singles. Stephenson collected a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 1 singles, and Schulte rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
The Bulldogs improved to 1-7 overall. Sul Ross fell to 0-3.
TLU's next match is a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest against Schreiner University on Friday, April 9. The match is set for a 5 p.m. start in Kerrville, Texas.
