COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- NCAA Division III's top-ranked team, the Colorado College Tigers, handed Texas Lutheran a three-set loss Friday afternoon at CC's El Pomar Sports Center. CC won 25-21, 25-10, 25-17.
The Tigers improved to 9-0. TLU dropped to 1-6.
CC held TLU to a negative hitting percentage, -.064, for the match. The Bulldogs had 18 kills and 25 errors in 109 attempts.
The Tigers had 12 block assists and one block solo.
CC hit .459 in the third set, with 18 kills and just one error in 37 attempts.
CC and TLU meet again Saturday with an 11 a.m. mountain/noon central matchup in Colorado Springs.
