ABILENE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Basketball fell 76-46 in its regular-season opener Friday evening in a road contest against Hardin-Simmons.
HSU (1-0) jumped out to a 19-8 lead in the first quarter and led 47-22 at the half.
Cami Davis led TLU with 10 points, and Dominique Campus scored seven.
Taylor Gaffney led HSU with 20 points. She was 8-for-15 from the field. Parris Parmer added 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
TLU shot just 28.3 percent from the field and 3-for-20 from the three-point line.
HSU shot 45.2 percent overall and 45.2 (14-for-31) from the three-point line.
TLU returns to action Saturday with a 4 p.m. contest, also in Abilene, against McMurry.
