COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs suffered their first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference loss with a 5-1 setback Sunday against Colorado College.
TLU fell to 9-4 overall and to 3-1 in the SCAC. CC improved to 8-5 overall and to 3-1 in the SCAC.
The Tigers rallied to score three first-half goals. Kiran Singh (20th minute), Griffin Meyer (23rd minute), and Samson Heyer (31st minute) gave CC a 3-1 lead at the half.
Meyer added his second goal of the match in the 59th minute, and Skyler Stark Ragsdale concluded the scoring with a goal in the 74th minute.
CC out-shot TLU 17-8 and had a 9-2 edge in shots on goal.
TLU is back in action at Gustafson Field next Friday and Sunday with SCAC matches against Schreiner and Trinity.
