Esparza, Green each score twice as TLU rolls to 5-1 victory over Schreiner

SEGUIN, Texas -- Jared Esparza scored two early goals and Luis Green added a pair of goals as the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs moved to 4-1 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 5-1 victory Friday over Schreiner.
 
At TLU's Gustafson Field, Esparza scored in the fifth and 12th minutes, and Green netted shots in the 30th and 69th minutes.
 
Cameron Townes closed out the Bulldogs' scoring with a goal in the 74th minute.
 
Nicolas Medina, Marco Roman, Townes, and Braulio Adam registered assists.
 
TLU moved to 10-4 overall.
 
Schreiner dropped to 3-10 overall and to 1-3 in the SCAC.

TLU out-shot Schreiner 25-15 and led in shots on goal 13-5.
 
The Bulldogs continue SCAC play Sunday with a 2 p.m. match at Gustafson Field against Trinity University.
