KERRVILLE, Texas -- Jaclyn Smolik scored a pair of goals as the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs collected a 2-1 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference road win Tuesday at Schreiner University. 

SU kicked off scoring with a goal from Chloe Luna in the 33rd minute. The goal was assisted byb Alyssa Davila. 

Smolik put the Bulldogs on the board with a penalty shot at 58:51. 

Smolik put home the game-winning clincher in the 61st minute. She scored with an assist from Mariela Candelario. 

TLU out shot the Mountaineers 11-5. However, SU's five total shots were all on goal compared to TLU's six. 

TLU improved to 4-4-1 overall and to 3-3 in conference play. 

SU dropped to 3-7-1 overall and 2-6 in the SCAC. 

The Bulldogs face-off with the Mountaineers again on Friday as conference play continues. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at TLU's Gustafson Field.
