SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran junior point guard
Nathan Josephs (San Antonio/Clark) scored 32 points and drilled six three-pointers to lead the Bulldogs to a 78-68 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory Tuesday night against Southwestern University.
The 32 points are a collegiate career-high for Josephs, who transferred to TLU this year from Texas State.
With the win in Memorial Gymnasium, TLU improved to 8-12 overall and to 4-5 in the SCAC. The Bulldogs snapped a two-game overall losing streak and a four-game skid at home.

Josephs finished the night 10-for-22 from the floor and 6-for-11 from the three-point line. He also went 6-for-7 from the foul line. He added five assists and three rebounds.
Josephs banked in a long three-pointer right before the first-half buzzer to give TLU a 39-36 lead.
The Bulldogs out-scored the Pirates 39-32 in the second half. Josephs had 21 of his 32 in the second half.
TLU shot 47.4 percent overall and 53.6 percent from the three-point line. The Bulldogs nailed 15 of their 28 three-point attempts.

Jacob Kouremetis added five made three-pointers. The junior from San Antonio (O'Connor) added 15 points.
Freshman guard
Sebastian Andrade (El Paso/Americas) contributed 15 points and seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs dished out 16 assists and turned the ball over just eight times.
Southwestern received 16 points and six rebounds from Brandon Alexander.
