Trinity hands TLU conference loss



SEGUIN, Texas-- Texas Lutheran Women's Soccer fell 13-0  to Trinity University in SCAC home-match at Gustafson Field Friday afternoon. 

The loss dropped the Bulldogs' record to 2-4-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference.

Trinity registered eight goals in the first half, and added five more in the second. The Tigers defense held the Bulldogs to seven total shots, to their 30 throughout the match. 

TLU keepers Stephanie Barrientos and Mikaela Gilbert split time in goal for the Bulldogs. Barrientos made one save and allowed eight goals. Gilbert allowed five goals while making three saves in the second 45 minutes. 

With a quick turnaround, the Bulldogs are back in action Sunday at 5 p.m. at Gustafson Field in their next SCAC match against Schreiner University.
