SEGUIN, Texas--Â Texas Lutheran Volleyball dropped a four-set match to Pomona-Pitzer and secured a four-setter win over Redlands in Saturday action at the Pacific Coast Classic Tournament in Claremont, Calif.
TLU lost their first match to Pomona-Pitzer by a count of 11-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.
Hannah Mikelonis led the Bulldogs with 12 kills, and
Makenzie Griffin added 11.Â
Jaci Chambers registered 17 assists and picked up 16 digs.
Mathis Popelsky contributed 15 digs. Mikelonis and
Cailey Young both served two aces.
Kelsi Menn added two blocks.
The Bulldogs defeated Redlands 25-17, 25-16, 18-25, 25-21 as Mikelonis tallied 15 kills. Griffin and
Bryten Mitchan contributed 11 and 9 kills, respectively.
Kionasina Nu'u dished out 21 assists, 14 digs and two serving aces. Chambers posted 15 digs, and
Remy Corbin added 13.
The Bulldogs now hold a 2-2 overall record. Play continues next weekend as the Bulldogs travel to Tyler, Texas to compete in the Patriot Classic hosted by University of Texas Dallas.
