AUSTIN, Texas -- With all goals scored in the first half, Texas Lutheran fell short 5-3 against the Concordia Tornados Sunday afternoon at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex.
The Tornados out shot the Bulldogs 13-6 in the first period. Kayla Carlove for CTX scored the first two goals in the first 7 minutes of play.
Raquel Morris for TLU reciprocated with an unassisted goal off the goalie save in the 9th minute.ÂÂ
Pamela Lasprilla sunk a goal into the far right side off a corner kick, bringing the score to 3-1 CTX.
Tanya Prazelini nailed the next two goals for TLU in the 31st (30:26) and 38th (37:33) minutes of play, both assisted by
Sara Gribbon.
Seconds later (37:55) Kaycee Moore scored the game-winning goal for the Tornados. Carlove madeÂÂ
an extra insurance goal with 2 minutes left in the half.ÂÂ
No other goals were made in the second half.
Mikaela Gilbert made two saves in the first half, and
Stephanie Barrientos contributed two more saves in the second.ÂÂ
TLU soccer squads head to Shreveport, LA next to face Centenary College on Friday, Sept.15. The women's game kicksoff at 5 p.m.and will be followed by the men's match at 7 p.m.
