SEGUIN, Texas -- Fifth-ranked Texas Lutheran Softball will play for its fourth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Championship after a 5-0 win Saturday afternoon sent the Bulldogs to the championship round.
At TLU's Ed Kruse Stadium, the Bulldogs broke open a scoreless game with a two-run fourth and a two-run fifth. TLU then added an insurance run in the sixth.

Nicole Snow and
Madisyn Cates each delivered RBI in the fourth and fifth innings, and
Delani Sipila drove in a run in the sixth.
The five runs of support was plenty for TLU ace
Maitlin Raycroft, who notched her 14th shutout of the season. She struck out nine, walked two and allowed only four hits. She improved to 20-2.
TLU moved its school-record win streak to 36 and its overall record to 36-4.
Southwestern dropped to 26-12.
Lindsey Longuet took the loss for the Pirates. Longuet (14-6) went 4-2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs.
