ABILENE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs gave Head Coach
Greg Burnett his 250th career coaching win as the Bulldogs completed a three-game sweep of McMurry with 7-1 and 14-7 road wins Saturday afternoon at Walt Driggers Field.
The 7-1 win produced the 249th, and the 14-7 victory was the 250th of Burnett's coaching career at TLU. Burnett is in his 10th season with the Bulldogs. He is third all-time in TLU Baseball coaching victories.
In the 7-1 win,
Cade Killingsworth tossed a complete-game, six-hitter in the seven-inning contest. He struck out five and worked around five walks. Killingsworth scattered six hits.
Keaton Boysen homered for TLU, and
Riley Schaefer and
Taylor Sammons each drove in a pair of runs.
In game two, the 14-7 victory,
Dylan Drgac pitched 3-1/3 innings of two-hit, scoreless relief and earned the pitching win.
Riley Schaefer doubled, scored three times and had two hits and an RBI, and
Colby Schrade doubled, had three hits and drove in three.
Thomas Varner went 2-for-5 with three runs scored, and Boysen went 3-for-5 with three RBI.
Eric Rabinowitz collected two hits, scored twice and drove in two.
Rayce Gatlin produced a 4-for-4 second game with a run scored and an RBI.
