SEGUIN, Texas --
Jackson Willoughby stole the basketball from a Howard Payne player in the final seconds to seal a 67-66 Texas Lutheran victory Tuesday night in TLU's Memorial Gymnasium.
Howard Payne worked for the last shot, but Willoughby swooped in with a clean steal off a dribble. Willoughby then dribbled up the floor with the basketball as the horn sounded.
TLU won its second straight and improved to 4-4 overall. Each of the two wins have come courtesy of last-second heroics. Guard
Nathan Josephs drilled a buzzer-beating three in the road victory Saturday at Hardin-Simmons.
Howard Payne fell to 4-6 with the non-conference loss.
