SEGUIN, Texas -- The Bulldogs dropped a four-setter to No. 2-ranked Colorado College and secured a three-set win over Austin College in Sunday action at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross-Divisional Tournament in Seguin.
TLU lost the first match to Colorado College in four sets, taking game two, ending with an overall count of 25-22, 23-25, 25-8, 25-18. 
Makenzie Griffin accounted for 14 kills, while 
Bryten Mitchan tallied 13 for the Bulldogs. 
Kelsi Menn and 
Kelsey Hamrick registered the only solo blocks for the team.
In the late match, the Bulldogs defeated Austin College 25-13, 25-19, 25-12 as Mitchan and 
Hannah Mikelonis led TLU in kills. Each player had 13 kills.
TLU setters, 
Kionasina Nu'u and 
Kelly Jurden both tallied 17 assists and had two serving aces.
Mathis Popelsky played strong defense, leading the Bulldogs with 18 digs. 
Jaci Chambers added 13 digs and one serving ace during the three-set sweep over the 'Roos.
Bulldog Volleyball plays at Concordia University this Tuesday in a non-conference match.  Match time in Austin is set for 6 p.m.
