SEGUIN, Texas --
Zach Behr poured in 32 points and added seven rebounds to lead the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs to an 80-70 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference home win Saturday against Trinity.
TLU pushed its overall record to 9-6 and its conference mark to 3-1. The Bulldogs have won three games in a row.
Trinity fell to 7-8 overall and to 2-2 in the SCAC.
TLU, the two-time defending SCAC champion, registered Friday-Saturday home wins in Memorial Gymnasium over Schreiner and Trinity.
Behr drained 12 of his 18 total field goal attempts and hit three of six shots from the arc. He added a 5-for-6 performance at the free throw line. He scored 16 points in the first half and 16 more in the second.
Jordan Kouremetis and
Sterling Holmes chipped in 12 and 11 points, respectively.
TLU built a 10-point lead at the half by holding Trinity to 37.5 percent shooting over the first 20 minutes of play. TLU had the 10-point lead at the break in spite of going 1-for-10 from the three-point line. The Bulldogs made six second-half threes - three by Behr and three by Kouremetis.
Harris Jowell contributed eight points and eight rebounds, and
Blake Ray scored seven and pulled down six rebounds.
Holmes led TLU with eight rebounds. He added three steals and two assists.
TLU held a healthy 47-31 edge in rebounding. The Bulldogs tallied 15 offensive rebounds. Ray and Jowell each had three offensive rebounds.
Matt Jones led Trinity with 21. Danny Rivara and Jayden Holden scored 15 and 13, respectively.
