Texas Lutheran split a pair of matches Saturday at the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas. The Bulldogs defeated East Texas Baptist in five games - 25-20, 19-25, 21-25, 25-16, 15-11. In the late match, TLU fell to No. 13-ranked Texas Dallas 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.
 

In the win over ETBU, Mackenzie Zamarripa and Kristin Fording each tallied 15 kills, and Makenzie Griffin delivered 14 kills. Kaci Pecht registered 30 assists, and Jaci Chambers added 21. Mathis Popelsky picked up 36 digs, and Fording added 25. Cadie Mae Vanecek served three aces.
 

In the loss to UTD, Zamarripa paced the Bulldogs with eight kills. Popelsky served two aces, and Sydney Sierra registered 10 assists. Carlie Childres added three blocks.
 

TLU is 2-2 overall. The Bulldogs host Howard Payne and Hardin-Simmons next Friday in the first day of the TLU Bulldog Classic.
