IRVING, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Men's Soccer fell behind 3-0 in the first 18 minutes but made it a one-goal match with 30 minutes to play before ultimately falling 4-2 on the road to the University of Dallas.
Jake Schnell scored twice in the first 18 minutes for the Crusaders, who improved to 5-4 overall and to 2-3 in the SCAC. Snell sandwiched his goals around Barton Holdridge's goal in the 16th minute.
Schnell scored first in the fifth minute and against in the 18th minute.
TLU rallied with goals from
David Ching (in the 29th minute) and
Patrick Duffy (in the 60th minute).
Luke Schwartz gave Dallas a two-goal lead once again by converting a penalty kick in the 61st minute.
TLU dropped to 2-7 overall and to 2-3 in the SCAC.
The Bulldogs led Dallas 22-16 in total shots. TLU had six shots on goal, and Dallas put 10 shots on goal.
