CONWAY, Ark. -- Texas Lutheran held Rhodes College to 20.7 percent shooting for the game and collected a 63-41 non-conference victory Saturday at Hendrix College.
The Bulldogs twice limited the Lynx to single digits in a quarter - holding Rhodes to six in the first quarter and to five in the third quarter.
TLU out-scored Rhodes 16-6 in the opening frame and 17-5 in the third.
TLU won its fourth game in five contests and improved to 4-2 overall.
Rhodes dropped to 1-4 overall.
Bulldog senior
Cierra Jordan (Llano/Llano) scored 15 points and tallied six rebounds, three steals and two assists in 19 minutes.
Freshman forward
Kasey Hairell (Hallettsville/Hallettsville) added 12 points, six rebounds and two steals in her 19 minutes of play.
Senior post
Caitlin Rendon (Austin/Austin) recorded six points, six rebounds and three steals.
TLU out-rebounded Rhodes 45-41 and registered 16 total steals. The Bulldog enjoyed a 28-6 advantage in the paint and a 30-17 edge in points off the bench.
