KERRVILLE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran freshman midfielder
Bailey Nimtz knocked home a "golden goal" in the second overtime to send the Bulldogs past Austin College 1-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Tournament quarterfinal.
At Schreiner University, Nimtz (New Braunfels/Canyon) scored at the 104:16 mark. The match was less than six minutes away from a penalty-kick shootout.

Tara Armstrong (Lincoln, Calif./Whitney) corner kick.
TLU advanced to the SCAC semifinal round for the fourth consecutive season. The Bulldogs have finished as the SCAC runner-up in each of the past two seasons.
TLU, the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament, advances to play No. 2 seed Southwestern at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, also at Schreiner University. TLU and Southwestern split their two regular-season meetings.
The Bulldogs improved to 9-4-4 overall. Austin College's season concludes with an overall record of 3-13-2. The Kangaroos entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed.
TLU led in total shots, 15-10. The Bulldogs twice hit the cross bar and had nine total shots on goal. TLU missed a penalty kick in the second half.

Erin Rose (San Antonio/Madison) made four saves, including one from close range early in the second half.
Austin's Laura McGee collected eight total saves.
