Guillermo Guerra headed home the game-winner off a
Colin Nunley corner kick to send the Bulldogs to a crucial 1-0 conference win Sunday over Centenary College (La.).
With TLU fighting to make the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament, the 1-0 road win moved the team's overall record to 3-10 and its conference mark to 3-6.
Centenary dropped to 4-9 overall and to 1-8 in the SCAC.
Guerra's goal was the first of his collegiate career. He led TLU on Sunday with three total shots and two shots on goal.
Freshman keeper
Victor Rodriguez started for the Bulldogs and played all 90 minutes. He posted the first complete-match shutout of his collegiate career.
TLU held a slight edge in total shots (9-8) and held a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal.
Centenary keeper Ryan Whan made five saves in 90 minutes.
