SHERMAN, Texas -- Alejandro Martinez and Issac Lopez knocked home first-half goals Sunday to lift the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs to a 2-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference road win over Austin College.

Martinez, with an assist from Miguel Candelario, put the Bulldogs in front at the 11:56 mark.

Lopez, off a pass from Martinez, scored at the 33:50 mark.

Austin College held a slight lead in shots, 11-9. Just three AC shots were on goal, and all three were stopped by Bulldog keeper Jonathan Michael.

TLU ended the match with five shots on goal. AC's Joseph Khalaf made one save, and Michael Moran stopped two Bulldog shots.

The Bulldogs return home for SCAC matches Friday and Sunday against University of Dallas and Colorado College, respectively.
