GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball's 2015 season came to a close Saturday with a three-set loss to No. 7 Colorado College in the third-place match of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Championship.
Colorado College won 25-16, 25-16, 25-14 behind 12 kills from Abbe Holtze and nine kills from Myca Steffey-Bean. Courtney Birkett and Sarah Barker each dished out 22 assists.
Colorado College improved to 34-3 overall and won for the third time this season against the Bulldogs.
TLU dropped to 18-9 overall.
Brette Threadgill and
Mackenzie Zamarripa each had eight kills for the Bulldogs.
Zamarripa was named to the SCAC Championship All-Tournament Team.
Megan Dugie led TLU with 15 digs, and
Kelcie Ingram delivered 13 assists.
