IRVING, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs will play for a 2015 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championship after a 1-0 semifinal win Saturday over Schreiner University.
TLU advances to the SCAC Championship final for the second consecutive season. The Bulldogs will face No. 1-ranked Trinity at 1 p.m. Sunday in Irving, Texas. Trinity defeated TLU for the 2014 SCAC title.
In the Saturday win over Schreiner, the Bulldogs' received the game-winner from leading scorer
Sioned Kirkpatrick. The senior from San Antonio scored on a penalty kick in the 54th minute.
The goal was Kirkpatrick's 13th of the season.
TLU's defense kept Schreiner scoreless for the entire 90 minutes.

Erin Rose made five saves for the Bulldogs. Schreiner keeper Megan Morant collected five saves.
Schreiner held a slight 12-9 lead in total shots.
TLU improved to 13-4-2 overall. Schreiner dropped to 11-6-2.
The Bulldogs entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed. Schreiner was the No. 2 seed and had a bye into the SCAC semifinal.
TLU won 2-1 over University of Dallas in the Friday semifinal.
