SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran broke a scoreless tie with three goals in a span of 14 minutes to defeat Centenary College (La.) 3-0 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play Friday evening at TLU's Gustafson Field.
TLU took advantage of a one-man advantage after Centenary picked up a red card at the 64:56 mark in the second half.
Lalo Ramirez scored a pair of goals for the Bulldogs. His first came at the 73:37 mark when he headed home a corner kick from
Colin Nunley.
Ramirez notched TLU's third goal of the match in the 88th minute with a nifty feed from
Alejandro Martinez.
In between the two Ramirez goals,
Fabian Linares knocked home a pass from
Isaac Lopez in the 84th minute.
TLU dominated possession and had many opportunities throughout the night before finally breaking through against the Gents. The Bulldogs took 22 corner kicks (to Centenary's two) and led in shots 27-7.
The Bulldogs' shots-on-goal advantage was 14-4.

Jonathan Michael needed to make just four saves. Centenary keeper Rylan Whan made 11 saves.
