COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado College maintained its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference lead with a 2-0 league win over Texas Lutheran on Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers improved to 11-2-2 overall and to 9-1-1 in the SCAC.
TLU lost its second straight and fell to 8-6-0 overall and to 5-6-0 in the SCAC.
Colorado College scored both goals in the first half and shut-out the Bulldogs for 90 minutes.
Nathan Anderson scored with an assist from Ryan Huettel in the 14th minute.
Seth Newby, with an assist from Soren Frykholm, added the second goal at the 26:11 mark.
CC out-shot TLU 17-7 and had a 7-3 edge in shots on goal.
Theo Hooker made three saves for the Tigers.
Brendan Soto collected five saves for TLU.
The Bulldogs fly home to Texas and continue SCAC action in Seguin with home games Friday and Sunday against Trinity and Schreiner, respectively.
