Double-overtime goal sends Dallas to 1-0 SCAC win over TLU Women's Soccer

IRVING, Texas -- Mariana Burciaga headed home a "golden goal" in the 105th minute of double overtime to send the University of Dallas Crusaders to a 1-0 conference victory over Texas Lutheran.
 
Friday afternoon at Crusader Field, Dallas finally broke through at the 104-minute, 47-second mark as Alice Nelson sent a corner kick to Burciaga.
 
Dallas moved to 4-10-1 overall and to 3-5-1 in the SCAC with the win.
 
TLU dropped to 9-2-2 overall and to 5-2-2 in the SCAC.
 
Elena Naccari made nine saves for Dallas. Erin Rose stopped six of the seven shots on goal for TLU.
 
The Bulldogs out-shot Dallas 20-10.
 
TLU returns home to Seguin for a 2 p.m. non-conference home match on Sunday against Sul Ross State.
