KEENE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran held Southwestern Adventist to 19.2 percent shooting and forced 28 turnovers in the Bulldogs' 99-30 non-conference win Saturday.
Taylor Dydalewicz (Dripping Springs/Lake Travis) and
Karisa Cantu (San Antonio/MacArthur) each scored 16 for TLU. Cantu also dished out seven assists and recorded three steals. Dydalewicz grabbed seven rebounds.
Dydalewicz made eight of her nine shots, and Cantu made seven of her eight shots.
The Bulldogs improved to 2-2. Southwestern Adventist dropped to 0-4.
The Bulldogs opened a 27-3 lead in the first half and led by as many as 75 in the second half. TLU out-scored SWAU in bench points 66-6 and in points off turnovers 46-6.
Kristen Lye (San Antonio/Clark) and
Natalie Vella (Corpus Christi/Moody) added 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Savannah Hight (San Antonio/Brandeis) chipped in 10 points and four steals. Lye pulled down six rebounds.
TLU out-rebounded Southwestern Adventist 57-32.
