SHERMAN, Texas â€" The Texas Lutheran women's soccer team saw its three-game winning streak snapped after a 1-0 road loss on Sunday afternoon to Austin College.

The game's only goal was scored in just the second minute, less than 100 seconds into the game. The score came from Cami Mavelian and was assisted by Mandi Sherwood and Lauren Scott.

The loss dropped the Bulldogs' record to 6-5 overall and 4-2 in the SCAC while snapping the aforementioned three-game winning streak. The win improved Austin College to 4-8 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

After the very early goal, the Bulldogs were able to regroup and played Austin College even the rest of the way. They were just never able to find the equalizer despite getting 12 shots and six on goal.

Texas Lutheran was stymied by 'Roos keeper Franchesca Lozoya, who made six saves on the day.

Erin Rose (San Antonio, Texas) bounced back from the early goal and made seven saves on Sunday, keeping the Bulldogs within striking distance.

Sioned Kirkpatrick (San Antonio, Texas) led the offense with three shots and two shots on goal. Five difference players tallied at least two total shots for Texas Lutheran.

The Bulldogs come back home for their next couple of games as they kick off the second half of conference action. They play host to both Centenary and the Kangaroos next week. They will matchup with Centenary for the second time this season at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 before their rematch against Austin College at noon on Sunday, Oct. 13.
