SEGUIN â€" The Texas Lutheran men's soccer team fell to No. 10 Trinity 7-0 on Friday afternoon at Gustafson Field.

The Bulldogs fell behind three goals in the first half and couldn't find a foothold all day against the Tigers.

The loss dropped Texas Lutheran to 9-6 on the year and 6-6 in SCAC play. The Bulldogs still sit in fourth place in the conference standings though, four points ahead of Schreiner.

Trinity proved why it's ranked inside the top five of the Division III NSCAA Coaches' Poll, outshooting the Bulldogs 30-6 on the day.

After not being able to record a shot in the first half, the Bulldogs were much more active in the second 45 minutes, notching six shots with three of those being on goal.

Trinity scored its three first-half goals in the span of nine minutes, opening things up with a Victor Araujo goal in the 16th minute. Araujo would score another goal to make it 3-0 in the 25th minute.

Jonathan Michael (Coppell, Texas) was in net for the first half. The sophomore made five saves while allowing the three goals.

Ian Parker (Humble, Texas) got the nod in goal for the second half. He made two saves while allowing four goals. The last goal was a penalty kick taken by Raz Forsten with just 29 seconds remaining.

Andrew Welsch (Amarillo, Texas) led the team with two shots, both of them on goal.

The Bulldogs will play their last regular-season home match of the year at 2 p.m. Sunday against Southwestern. Senior Day festivities will take place in between the women's and men's games.
