Victor Perez enters his fourth season volunteering with the Texas Lutheran Track and Field program.
Perez has helped TLU throwers break multiple records over his tenure including TLU record holder Zachary Herman in the Men’s hammer. Zachary Herman was the 2022 SCAC Outdoor Hammer Champion and a 2022 NCAA National Championship Qualifier in the hammer.
Before his time with TLU, Victor was a student athlete at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Victor walked on to the Men’s track team, eventually breaking the school records in the hammer and weight throw his senior year. Guided by longtime UTSA throws coach, Chris Adams, he qualified for two NCAA D1 West Regional Championships. His hammer record of 62.87m stood until 2025.
After graduation from UTSA, Perez pursued post-collegiate throwing, improving his best to 70.54m in the hammer throw.
He is a 2021 Olympic Trials qualifier and continues training to this day.
Perez earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UTSA. In his spare time, Victor spends time with his wife, Brooke, and their three children, Parker, Grayson, and Jordy.
