Trevor Cones '25 enters his first season on the TLU coaching staff. Cones, a native of Stagecoach, Texas, attended Tomball High School and played baseball before graduating in 2020. He continued his playing career at Texas Lutheran University, spending five years as a Bulldog and earning a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports and Fitness Management in 2025.
Cones spent last season coaching at Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kansas, where he served as an assistant coach during the 2025-26 season. In his role, he worked primarily with hitters and infielders, assisted with the implementation of offensive and defensive strategies, led the program’s offseason and in-season strength and conditioning program, and also supported recruiting efforts.
During the summer of 2026, Cones coached in the Cowboy Collegiate League, leading the Baytown Bulkheads’ offense to the league’s top offensive program and helped guide the team to a CCL Championship.
In addition to his coaching responsibilities, he is pursuing a Master of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sport Coaching at Texas State University.
